One such cat is Kefir, who lives with his owner Yuliya Minina in Stary Oskol, Russia. This massive Maine Coon cat has gained attention for its enormous size, often leading people to mistake him for a dog upon first sight. According to Yuliya, Kefir is only one year and 9 months old but weighs 26.5 pounds. However, she expects him to continue growing until he reaches three years old, typical for Maine Coons.

Yuliya and her family love Kefir and consider him a faithful family member. They got him from a cattery and named him after the dairy drink because of his beautiful white fur. However, Kefir is a picky eater and only consumes meat and natural feed. The only drawback to his care is the large amount of hair he sheds around the house.
