We went on an exciting adventure to visit an abandoned bungalow that was falling apart. We tried many times to explore it, but finally, we succeeded!

This house shows why it’s important to keep trying to get into a location, even if you fail the first time. I and Zenning with Zay have tried many times to get inside this house. It’s a raised bungalow that has been empty for about 5 years and is located in a wealthy neighborhood. It is waiting to be torn down.

The house is located on about 1.5 acres of land and has a big backyard with a jungle gym, tennis court, greenhouse, big shed, and a pool in the ground. When I took a picture of the pool, I saw something that made waves in the water. When I looked closer, I saw a goldfish! And then more appeared; there were at least 50 of them living in the pool. It’s unusual because someone put them there on purpose.

The main bedroom also seems to have been used as an office because some items were found there. A big closet was there, with about 12 boxes for iPhones, but no phones were left. The main bedroom also had a big bathroom with a jacuzzi bathtub.

I found another room that was a children’s bedroom for two kids. Unfortunately, it was a sad scene as many belongings were left behind. Clothes, toys, and other personal items were scattered around, making me think about how a child would feel about leaving everything behind. I guessed that the family was made up of foreign people who either returned to their home country or had to leave the house because they could no longer pay for the mortgage and the high taxes in this affluent area.

As I walked down the hallway, I saw a bathroom that had been left in disarray. Just past that, I came to the front door and the stairs. The place was casual, but it was still nice. Many things were lying on the floor, and raccoons had made a mess.

The kitchen could have been better! Cupboard doors were open, and their contents were scattered all over the countertops and floor. We could hear raccoons in the attic, but they didn’t come near us while we explored the house. Although the kitchen appliances and cupboards were nice, they were ruined because of the mess.

As I entered the living room, the problems with the house became obvious. The roof was in bad shape, and water had caused damage to the front of the house. The walls were falling apart, and the drywall was breaking down. Plants were growing inside, and mold was starting to show up. With so many things left behind, it was an amazing sight.

This old, decaying bungalow had a basement that was in poor condition, just like the main floor. But it was filled with many items, mainly children’s toys, and games. There was a lot of water damage upstairs which caused mold throughout the basement, but it wasn’t too bad. I could breathe fresh air from an open window since I didn’t have a mask. There were two bedrooms for kids and a small room with photos of a young boy still hanging on the wall. The big bathroom had a sauna, but it was being used for storage. I didn’t spend much time in the basement because of the air, but you can see more in my video! The house was left to rot for years, but it will probably be demolished soon.
