Kathryn Hahn’s Son Storms Out of Party When He Saw Her on ‘Step Brothers’
Kathryn Hahn, a Hollywood star, has recently mentioned a very funny story of how her kids took it when they saw her do that famous role in Step Brothers. During an interview, she shared the weird and hilarious experience that befell her 17-year-old son at a house party.
There, he discovered that the other people were watching Step Brothers, where Hahn plays Alice Huff, the disgruntled wife of Derek Huff, which was played by Adam Scott. The movie contains that famous scene wherein Alice declared her interest in Dale Doback, which was portrayed by John C. Reilly and some explicit words were mentioned during this time, which could be too much for her children to see. As her son merely said, “I just walked out,” when he saw the film playing, Hahn agreed that that was a smart thing for him to do.
In an interview with Josh Horowitz, Hahn said whether her kids, too, have difficulty watching her as Agatha Harkness in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She agreed that sometimes it may be a little challenging for them, but they really do like watching Marvel together. But she laughingly added that she doesn’t say anything about the roles while shooting.
She also let slip another interesting behind-the-scenes fact of another iconic Step Brothers moment: the car scene where the family is singing Guns N’ Roses’ “Sweet Child O’ Mine.” At a Q&A in NYC, Hahn said Adam Scott’s part was lip-dubbed while she and her kids sang live. Scott’s vocals were done by a professional singer who was outside the car to get that perfect “boyband” sound. However, that did not stop Hahn from reaching out to appreciate the great lipsynching done by Scott, making the scene cute and somewhat legitimate.
