At the beginning of 2019, we went to a wealthy neighbourhoodin Toronto to search for abandoned houses. We had already checked out a few locations, but as the sun set, we came across one more place. I quickly walked through it to see if it was worth exploring further, and I was thrilled to find out that it was. This house was one of the best-abandoned houses we had found during our search, and we couldn’t wait to come back and explore it more.

On January 23rd, 2016, at 1 am, Toronto Fire Services rushed to a house on fire. When they arrived, the house was badly damaged, and big flames were coming out of the side. The crew went inside to fight the fire and used chainsaws to make holes in the roof to help put it out. Thankfully, no one was at home at the time, and nobody was hurt.

After 13 months had passed, a beautiful house was put up for sale. It was sold as is and had a price tag of $3,380,000. This amazing property had 5 bedrooms, with 2 bedrooms on the upper floor and 3 bedrooms on the lower floor, and 4 bathrooms. It also had a unique feature, a dungeon bar, that added charm. The house was on a park-like property close to 3/4 of an acre in size. This property had the potential to be divided into two large mansions, making it a great investment opportunity.

Unfortunately, this property only stayed on the market for a mere 6 days before it was purchased. After it was sold, some work was done on the house, but it appears it will only partially be restored. Instead, the property will be demolished and replaced with either one large mansion or two smaller ones. Although this may be disappointing for some, one cannot deny the beauty of the retro 60’s wallpaper in the house.
