Shannen Doherty, renowned for her roles in the TV series ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ and ‘Charmed,’ has tragically passed away at the age of 53 after battling breast cancer since 2015.

Her publicist, Leslie Sloane, confirmed the devastating news: “It is with profound sadness that I announce the passing of Shannen Doherty. On Saturday, July 13, after many years of battling cancer, she lost her fight.”

Shannen became very famous in 1990 for playing Brenda Walsh on ‘Beverly Hills, 90210.’ The show was about Brenda and her twin brother, Brandon, who moved to Beverly Hills and had to adjust to life with rich teens. Brenda’s relationship with Dylan, another character, had many ups and downs, including some drama with her best friend, Kelly.

Shannen was on the show for 111 episodes before leaving during the fourth season. There were reports that she had some issues with her castmates, especially Jenny Garth.

In January 2023, Shannen had surgery to remove a tumor from her head because the cancer had spread to her brain. She shared her journey with her fans on Instagram, posting videos and talking about her fears and feelings. She praised her doctors and the medical staff who helped her through the tough times.

During her illness, Shannen was also dealing with a divorce from her ex-husband, Kurt Iswarienko.
