My name is Dimitri “Jahz Design” and I’m a French artist. I received my diploma as a graphic designer. I’ve always been fascinated by history and architectural ruins. In 2013, I became interested in the urban photography of heritage in neglect. My first foray was inside an old cemetery of military ships.

I traverse the world hunting for neglected urban deterioration. Today, I’d like to show you some of the most stunning abandoned castles in the world.

I traverse the world seeking locations that are in decline. Since 2013, I’ve traveled to over 2,000 different countries. I attempt to attract people’s attention to our civilization’s ongoing transformation to ephemeral memory through my photographs.

I never go alone; I always travel with a group of photographers. I would not advocate going alone since you are vulnerable to an accident or a negative encounter.

My most recent discoveries have led me to the Soviet Buran spacecraft program at Baikonur(Kazakhstan). In 2017, I was appointed as a Manfrotto ambassador. In 2018, Irix, a Swiss brand of ultra- wide angle lenses, asked me to be their ambassador.

My images are represented by the galleries Envie d’Art Paris in Paris, Galerie Gaa in Nantes, and Eleven Art Gallery in Rennes. I’ve also published a photographic book called “Broken Silence,”which has 64 photographs of stunning abandoned locales that I captured.
