Tragedy in Paradise: ‘She-Hulk’ Bodybuilder Found Dead in Spanish Home

Zunilda Hoyos Mendez, a Colombian bodybuilding champion known to fans as “Amy” and nicknamed the She-Hulk, has been found brutally killed in her holiday home in Spain’s Costa del Sol.

The 40-year-old athlete was reportedly beaten to death with a hammer. Her husband, Jarrod Gelling, 46, was also found dead in the same house — in what police believe may have been a case of suicide.

According to heartbroken family members, Zunilda had made the decision to leave her husband and was planning a divorce. Loved ones say Jarrod had shown signs of being “aggressive,” and this final trip together — returning from a fitness competition in Dubai — was meant to be their last.

But Zunilda never made it to her next destination. She had been preparing for another contest in Portugal when she suddenly went missing last Saturday.

Her niece told local media that the couple’s relationship had taken a dark turn, and Zunilda was ready to move on with her life. Sadly, she never got the chance.

Another strong woman silenced too soon.
