On Truth Social, Trump wrote: “Send my best regards to Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un as you plot against the United States.”

Beijing’s military parade marked 80 years since Japan’s surrender in World War II, putting China’s military strength on display. The event was attended by 26 international leaders, including Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un.

Trump also acknowledged the United States’ involvement in the war, highlighting the many American soldiers who gave their lives supporting China’s struggle for victory. “Let their Bravery and Dedication be rightfully Honored and Remembered,” he stated.

Earlier, Trump had downplayed concerns about a growing alliance between China, Russia, and other nations, telling the BBC that China “needs us much more than we need them” and that he did not see them forming a coalition against the U.S.

In a separate radio interview on Tuesday, Trump said the U.S. possesses “the most powerful military forces in the world” and that Russia and China would not use their militaries against America. He also expressed disappointment in Putin following their failed attempt to reach a peace deal over Ukraine during a meeting in Alaska last month, without specifying further action the U.S. would take.

China has not publicly condemned Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine and has faced Western accusations of supporting Moscow through dual-use materials and oil purchases, which Beijing denies. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that Russia is building up troops along certain sections of the frontline.
