Couple Celebrated Adopted Daughter's Arrival with Impromptu Baby Shower on Flight Home to California

Recently adopted parents Dustin and Caren Moore had an emotional experience on their way back to California. The flight crew unexpectedly surprised the couple with an onboard baby shower while traveling home with their recently adopted newborn daughter.

When the couple could not conceive and carry a pregnancy to term, they decided to adopt. Before deciding to seek adoption, they underwent several therapies and miscarried many times. It took them four months after receiving their adoption certification to locate a birth mother who gave birth to their daughter in November.

The couple told their adoption tale when a flight attendant inquired about their small child during the flight. The flight attendants then instructed the passengers to write suggestions for the new parents on napkins and introduced them to a unique visitor who had just been adopted. The passengers’ reaction was astounding, and they left the newlyweds with 60 messages of support and advice. In addition, the couple received pilot wings as a unique gift.

Dustin and Caren Moore’s story proves the strength of love and kindness, even from total strangers. Their knowledge demonstrates that baby showers can be held whenever including on a flight home. “The show of love from strangers made us feel like people were rooting for us,” Dustin added.

Dustin counsels those thinking about adoption that while there can be doubts, fears, and uncertainties, the emotional investment is worthwhile. “The payout will far exceed anything you could have imagined,” he declared.
