You will be satisfied if you’re looking for abandoned and historical places in northern Ontario. Zenning with Zay and I recently visited a ghost town full of old and fascinating structures.
The highlight of our visit was an abandoned time capsule known as a storehouse. The house was incredibly old and had a lot of character. There were a few other abandoned houses nearby, but we didn’t explore them because of the large number of black flies in the area. Regardless, it was a truly unique and unforgettable experience.

The kitchen was great and had many original items from the previous owners. The kitchen was spacious, with high ceilings, especially when the house was built. There were also many small vintage items, such as old books from the early 1900s, a cozy lounge chair, and even an old-fashioned standing radio! All of these items were very cool and unique!

Just off the kitchen area, I found a room that was used as a store. It had a counter and walls lined with shelves, but it was also quite dangerous. The floor was sloping in multiple directions, likely due to the heavy weight of the safe and the decaying foundation. Although there was no basement in this room, I had to be extremely cautious as I walked around. I didn’t want to fall through the floor and hurt myself or become trapped. So, I took extra precautions to make sure I was safe.

There were two additional rooms On the main floor of the house. One of them had some interesting vintage items left behind, including an old-fashioned baby carriage and an antique television set. These items were visually appealing and perfect for capturing in photographs. The other room, however, was empty and barren. You can check out my video posted above to understand this room’s emptiness better.

After wandering through the lower levels, I finally made it to the upper floors of the building. Just like the main floor, the upstairs did not disappoint me!
I saw one bedroom with a vintage bed frame and an antique crib as I walked through the rooms. The room also featured multiple layers of wallpaper that were quite old and had been used to conceal the previous layer. These layers added to the charming, nostalgic atmosphere of the room, making it an incredibly unique and memorable experience.

We went for an adventure outside and stumbled upon an abandoned building that had fallen apart. Although it was filled with intriguing items, the black flies were so overwhelming that I could only snap a couple of photos before seeking refuge in the car. Despite the annoyance of the flies, it was still an awesome exploration experience.
