Jennifer Lopez’s look at the red carpet just went viral in no time; her gown was compared to a table runner. The premiere of Unstoppable at Roy Thomson Hall fronted J. Lo in a glittering gown at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday, September 6. This is after she had divorced Ben Affleck.

On September 7, according to Harper’s Bazaar, the 55-year-old songstress had wowed in a sparkle-encrusted gown appearing like a disco ball by Tamara Ralph Couture Fall/Winter 2024 collection.

Jennifer went all out in a full-length, fitted gown bedecked with what looked like tiny mirrored or metallic tiles or sequins—making for an ultra-reflective style. High cuts to each side-accentuated with black velvet bows-and a high neck are also involved in this daring design.

The dress received mixed comments online, some even claimed that the dress made her look like a table runner. Unstoppable was produced by Ben Affleck, absent during the premiere. Representing him there was Matt Damon, his close friend and co-producer, who even took photos with Jennifer :.

There were many reactions to J.Lo’s gutsy outfit; one Facebook user shared her reaction: “She’s fit, but this dress doesn’t show off her strength. Looks like two sequined table runners tied together showing skin screaming ‘Look at me!'”

Many felt that Jennifer’s disco-ball of a risky outfit was just a little bit too impractical, one stating: “I respect her being in shape, but this isn’t mom-appropriate attire. It has no color-and how can she even move in that?”

Some sensed the outfit and event mismatch; thus “This dress would make sense for a 70s-themed movie, not a supporting role in a sports film. It screams, ‘Look at me, I need attention.’ At this point, going subtle would be more shocking for J.Lo,” wrote the commenter.

Lately, the scrutiny has come in manifold ways for Jennifer. She even got shade from comedian George Lopez when he made an appearance on the recent Politickin’ podcast, where he called into question Ben Affleck’s happiness within their marriage after J.Lo posted a revealing mirror selfie back on August 31.

Jennifer and Ben’s love story had been running a really long time. In 2002, Affleck proposed to Jennifer with a $2.5 million, 6.1-carat pink diamond ring. Two years down the line, the duo broke up since the intolerable pressure that media scrutiny had laid upon them was hard to face. These two got back together in 2022 and got married; Jennifer expressed this news on Instagram.

Still, early this year of 2024, reports of the couple’s troubled marriage surfaced. Jennifer filed for divorce on August 20 and legally ended their two-year marriage.
