Kim Kardashian Completes Law Program After Six-Year Journey: ‘It’s Finally Happening!’
|Kim Kardashian just hit a major milestone — and it’s not from the runway or a red carpet.

The 44-year-old star recently completed her Law Office Study Program, a non-traditional path to becoming a lawyer, and celebrated with what looked like a cozy, heartfelt graduation ceremony in her backyard. Sharing clips to Instagram on May 21, Kim announced, “I finally graduated law school after six years!!!” while smiling on stage in a graduation cap.
Originally a four-year program, Kim’s legal studies stretched to six due to work commitments and the pandemic. But that didn’t stop her. Surrounded by close friends and family, including her children and sisters Khloé and Kourtney, the celebration was filled with joy and pride.

One of Kim’s mentors, attorney Jessica Jackson, took to the stage to applaud her hard work and persistence. “She didn’t take the traditional law school route. Instead, Kim committed herself to this rigorous apprenticeship — 18 hours a week, 48 weeks a year, for six years straight,” Jackson shared. “That’s over 5,000 hours of study — all while being a mom of four, running businesses, filming TV, and advocating in courtrooms.”
As Kim walked across the stage holding her certificate, she hugged her mentors and was met with loud cheers. Her kids joined her in celebrating the moment, visibly proud.

Even political commentator and friend Van Jones gave a heartfelt tribute, recognizing her resilience and dedication over the years.

After the celebration, Khloé shared a heartfelt video, describing the moment as “unbelievable” and expressing deep pride in her sister’s achievement. Meanwhile, Kourtney added a touch of humor by snapping a fun selfie in Kim’s graduation cap, playfully captioned “Supportive sister.”

Instead of attending a traditional law school, Kim opted for California’s unique route that allows students to learn under a practicing attorney. She began her apprenticeship in 2018 with a law firm in San Francisco. In 2021, she passed the “baby bar” exam after failing three times — a moment she described as one of the toughest challenges of her life.
“OMFGGGG I PASSED THE BABY BAR EXAM!!!!” she wrote at the time. “I failed three times in two years, but I kept going. I even had COVID during one attempt. But I didn’t give up.”

Kim’s motivation to study law stems from her father, the late Robert Kardashian Sr., a prominent attorney. Over the past few years, she’s already been active in criminal justice reform, helping free several incarcerated individuals.
Although she hasn’t taken the California bar exam yet, she recently completed another key step — the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPRE) — in March, which is required before taking the bar.

This graduation marks a major step forward in her legal career, and it’s clear Kim’s journey is far from over. From reality TV to courtroom advocacy, she’s proving that with determination, even the most unconventional dreams can become reality.
