Smolensk region landscapes and abandoned churches

In Russia’s Smolensk oblast, there are around 400,000 different historical and cultural monuments. The region’s territories also had a significant impact on Russian military history. Unfortunately, many of the architectural landmarks are in disrepair, and if nothing is done, they will soon be lost forever. Denis Frantsouzov took the pictures.
