Miley Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi’s Secret Wedding Was Praised by a Proud Jon Bon Jovi
Rock legend Jon Bon Jovi is on cloud nine after his son Jake Bongiovi recently married actress Millie Bobby Brown in an intimate family ceremony. The celebrity dad confirmed the happy nuptials during an appearance on BBC’s The One Show.
“They’re great together, absolutely fantastic as a couple,” Bon Jovi said of the newlyweds. “It was a very small, private family wedding, but the bride looked gorgeous. Jake was over the moon.”
According to reports, the young couple is planning a grand wedding later this year in the US to include extended family and friends. However, for their inaugural low-key ceremony, they chose to keep things small and simple.
Interestingly, Millie’s Stranger Things co-star Matthew Modine was credited with officially marrying the couple. Modine, who played Dr Brenner in the hit Netflix series, revealed: “Millie thought it would be good if I was a judge, and Jake agreed it would be a good idea because I’m close to both of them.”
The 20-year-old British actress and the 22-year-old model/actor first started dating in November 2021 before going public with their relationship. Their whirlwind romance led to Jake popping the question last April, when Millie announced their engagement via a gorgeous photo showing off their diamond ring.
The couple’s unique proposal story made even the rock star father proud. As Millie recounted on The Tonight Show, Jake arranged an underwater proposal during their diving trip. “He tricked me into going to this place we used to be, then surprised me with the ring inside the shell!”
While specific wedding details are being kept under wraps, it’s clear that the Bon Jovi family is overjoyed to officially welcome Miley as the newest member. As Jon Bon Jovi put it, “The bride was gorgeous and Jake couldn’t be happier.”
Millie herself has spoken of the deep, undeniable connection she felt with Jake from the moment they met. In her words: “You can’t quite pinpoint why someone is ‘the one,’ it’s the feeling of knowing that they’re the person you want by your side forever.”
