On this day, people enjoy a day off from work, and schools hold a special ceremony for students to honour their mothers. The students kneel before their moms, presenting them with jasmine flowers and expressing affection, respect, and gratitude – all of which evoke warmth and tenderness.
However, such occasions can be bittersweet for students who, due to various circumstances, cannot have their mothers participate. This was almost the case for a young student named Nong Cream, who had been adopted by a single father named Joe Lookphonbodee, as reported by Bangkok Biz News.
But Lookphonbodee not only attended the event on behalf of his daughter; he went above and beyond in his participation. A heartwarming TikTok video showcases Lookphonbodee’s surprising Cream by appearing in a wig and dress. The moment Cream spots her “father-mother,” she joyfully rushes into his arms, her face beaming with smiles.
Lookphonbodee shared with Bangkok Biz News that he had no reservations about this gesture, emphasizing that ensuring his daughter’s sense of belonging was paramount. “Personally, I have no sense of shame because I cherish my child,” he affirmed.
Cream experienced nothing but gratitude without any trace of embarrassment. She expressed her feelings on this Mother’s Day, proclaiming her love for her father. “I want to convey my love to my father on this year’s Mother’s Day,” she stated. “Thank you, Father, for nurturing me and bringing happiness into my life. I feel complete and lacking in nothing.”
