Amid this overwhelming number, Cole and Jordan Dickerson found themselves on the waitlist for adoption. Upon their return, they met with Jeremiah’s social worker at Le Bonheur to demonstrate their commitment to fostering and adopting him. After navigating the legal, medical, and stimulating classes, the day finally arrived when they could bring Jeremiah home in June 2017. Then, on July 16, 2018, their dreams became a reality as they officially adopted Jeremiah, making him an irreplaceable part of their lives.
But their story doesn’t end there. In a remarkable twist, Cole recounted how Jeremiah’s innocent prayers hinted at a future sibling in his Love What Matters post. In April 2018, Jeremiah prayed, expressing gratitude for his Mommy, Daddy, Jesus, and baby sister, whom he believed would join their family in a couple of weeks.
